Largest plywood shipment arrives at the Broadway Terminal, Port of Camden

August 18th, 2006 - The Marine Vessel Maroudio docked at the Port of Camden yesterday to deliver the largest plywood cargo ever received at the Broadway Terminal. The 653-foot long ship sailing under Greek registry delivered 18,278 crates of plywood bound for Liberty Woods International, a major plywood importer and one of the largest clients of the South Jersey Port Corporation (SJPC), the owner and operator of the Port of Camden’s Beckett Street Terminal and Broadway Terminal. Plywood pushing port to new record

August 19th, 2006 - A giant crane slung crates of plywood over the side of a cargo ship and onto the dock where waiting stevedores scooped up the wood with forklifts and whisked it away. Steamship Maroudio sailed up the Delaware River on Thursday to deliver more than 17,400 tons of plywood to the South Jersey Port Corp.'s Broadway Terminal. [Full Article]
